    We have had another fantastic Science Week at school. The children have been very enthusiastic about their learning. It was great to see so many family and friends visit the school this morning to see what the children have been doing. Thank you. 

  • Winning Choir!

    Broughton Choir were simply fantastic last night as they won this year's Christmas Choir Competition! The children are a credit to our school. Well Done!

    Another fabulous year of the Broughton Summer Gala took place on Friday, 1st July.
    The Gala Queen and her attendants were entertained by all seven classes who performed a dance with the theme of their class animals.

  • A Midsummer Night's Dream comes to Broughton.

    To celebrate and remember 400 years since Shakespeare’s death, Broughton Primary was visited by Splats Entertainment who performed ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’.

  • New School Weather Vane

    The children at Broughton School were delighted to see the new weather vane put up near the playground gates.

    The weather vane was designed by Robert, who was extremely pleased to see it in place.

  • Broughton Primary School Film Project

    During February a film company came in and worked with year 6 children to make a short video of the school. This was a great opportunity for the children to learn how films are made, to present in front of the camera and to learn more about the world of work. It was also a lot of fun. The completed video was shown to the school on Monday and the children really enjoyed it. 

  • World Book Week: Storyteller Visit

    On Monday 29th February, the children of Broughton were lucky enough to have Storyteller Richard York spend the day with them telling stories to all classes. His stories come from all around the world and some date back many thousands of years.
    The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and were transfixed by Mr York's tales.

  • Science Week 2016

    This year, Peter Wearne our visiting scientist, gave the children fun filled science workshops.
    The children also enjoyed displaying their Science Week projects to their parents.
