  • Years 5/6 Girls Football Team

    The Broughton Girls Football team came a very respectable 4th out of 10 schools in the Kettering School Games Tournament last week. They showed fantastic teamwork throughout and improved throughout each match. There were some fantastic saves and superb strikes at the other end. In midfield, they linked well together and helped to create many chances. At the back, our defenders spotted and dealt with any threats coming their way. Well Done Team!

  • Cricket Comp 2018

    Broughton’s Cricket team should be very proud of their achievement at this year’s annual competition at Northampton County Cricket Ground. With each game they improved working well together and growing in confidence. As always their behaviour was impeccable showing excellent sportsmanship to all. Overall they finished 4th. Well done!

  • Opening of the Daily Mile

    Broughton Primary School is out and sprinting ahead of the rest with a new bespoke 200m running track to give children and staff the opportunity to improve their fitness and wellbeing. The aim is to encourage pupils to jog, walk or run for 15 minutes every day in all weathers, averaging a mile. This will help children to develop fit habits, which will last a lifetime. This is not a competition or a race and children and adults of all abilities can take part and work towards healthy outcomes.

  • Science Week 2018

    The children have enjoyed another fantastic Science Week, which has been filled with special assemblies and many science investigations. The whole school theme this year has been for each class to complete a Technology Challenge, which was great fun and enjoyed by all.

  • BPS Football Team

    Our Broughton Football team came a very respectable 3rd in our annual BPS Football Tournament. Throughout each game, they worked tirelessly as a team and should be very proud of themselves. Toby, in goal, played fantastic throughout, pulling off saves that we all thought had gone in. Harry & Wallice proved to be a solid partnership at the back. While Sam, Josh & Keiran showed great determination in midfield, making bursting runs and also tracking back. Finally, Luke demonstrated some excellent flair and had a number of close efforts on goal. Well Done Team!

  • BPS Tag Rugby Stars!

    Our Tag Rugby team recently played in a tournament here at Broughton Primary School. Considering this was their first competitive match, they were excellent and noticeably improved with each game. They played superbly as a team, supporting each other and never giving up. Well done children, as always, you were a credit to our school.

  • Cricket Competition

    Our Broughton Cricket team were a credit to our school. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament, giving lots of encouragement to each and they gradually improved with each game. The fact that the competition organisers provided cakes was certainly an added bonus!

  • BPS Football Team

    Broughton Primary Football Team recently took part in a tournament at Wellingborough School. The team were a credit to our school and finished 5th out of 10 teams. With every game they improved and demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout. A special mention for Toby (our goal keeper) who was our player of the tournament, making save after save! Well done Broughton Football Team.

  • World Book Day 2017

    World Book Day 2017 has been a lot of fun this year. It was great to see so many children and adults dressed up as a character from a book. There has been a fantastic atmosphere across the school as we celebrate reading.
